How is the personal organizer on it? I kind of want either a BlackJack 2 or a Palm centro for a smart phone, but the data plan costs alot. Also, I hear the display on the propel isn’t that great, is it really bad or is it tolerable?

I use the pda’s for the organizer feature and have had the data plan before and just don’t need it. I bought a new blackberry online and was told that I need to have a data plan to activate it. If i get it activated with the plan, then cancel the data plan, will the phone still work?
