Tiny Bedroom?

My family just moved and my bedroom is 8′ X 10′ . It is really cramped. The window is in the middle of the wall across from the door. My closet is on the right, close to the wall with the window. Each door is 18 inches from the adjacent wall, so I have furniture behind them. I need really good ideas for this room. Im 18 but I don’t really like the stuff designed for dorms or teen rooms, but I don’t want it to look to old lady! I need to keep my desk for school work, but I can put my clothes in my closet once I get a closet organizer. I can downsize to a twin bed. I need this room to be more roomy, without anything being infront of the window.
